Access to Excellence Reaches £3million Target!

Access to Excellence Reaches £3million Target! 8 May 2009

The Perse is delighted to announce that the Access to Excellence campaign has now reached its £3million target.

Thanks to the generosity of its many supporters, £1.4million has been raised to help fund the construction of the Nigel Richardson Hall at The Pelican, New School at The Prep, and a second gymnasium at The Upper.  Meanwhile, £1.6million of funding has been secured for bursaries, enabling the school to double the number of pupils receiving financial assistance over the next decade.

Head, Edward Elliott, commented: “I’m delighted that the successful completion of this campaign enables us to maintain the school’s long tradition of opening its doors to able children from any background, and ensure that those whose families may not be able to afford our school fees are still able to benefit from a Perse education. Our marvellous new facilities, meanwhile, will be a huge asset as the school expands and makes its transition to full co-education from September 2010. Thank you to all those who supported the campaign.”
