You can make a donation to The Perse School and qualify for a US tax deduction by making a donation through the British Schools and Universities Foundation, Inc (BSUF). The Perse is registered with the BSUF, which is a charitable organisation recognised by the US Internal Revenue Service under Section 501 (c) (3) of their Codes.
There are several different ways you can make a donation:
- REGULAR GIVING: Click here To make a regular gift (monthly, quarterly, annually) via BSUF. In the section marked 'Designation' please enter the words: 'The Perse School Cambridge'.
- ONE-OFF BY CREDIT CARD: Click here To donate by credit/debit card. In the section marked 'Designation' please enter the words: 'The Perse School Cambridge'.
- BY POST: Please download the BSUF donation form and send with a check to BSUF (address details on form). Checks should be made payable to BSUF and postmarked on or before December 31st to qualify for current-year tax deduction.
Resident in the Rest of the World
Certain non-residents of the UK can make charitable donations tax-efficiently. Individuals will qualify for tax relief provided they have income or capital gains charged to UK tax that are at least equal to the gross amount of the donation.
If you live in France, Germany or Ireland you can you can make a donation to the Perse and receive all applicable tax benefits in the country where you pay tax. This can make a considerable difference to the net cost of your donation. For further information please contact the Perse Development Office.
Regrettably there are no arrangements for tax deductions or relief of taxation currently available to donors who pay taxes in countries other than the UK, USA, France, Germany or Ireland. However we are constantly monitoring this situation and will expand opportunities for residents of other countries whenever practically possible.
