Annual Fund

Opening Access, Enhancing Education

The Perse owes much of its success to the generosity of countless benefactors who have supported it over its long history.

The Annual Fund builds on this tradition, each year inviting all members of The Perse community to support the school through the medium of regular giving. The success of this programme, which in the last 3 years has awarded £100,000 to more than 50 projects and over £60,000 to bursaries, demonstrates that gifts of any size combine to make a huge difference.

The Annual Fund supports two main areas:

- Projects: Staff and pupils from The Pelican, Prep and Upper can bid for funding for projects or initiatives that enhance the educational experience of current students and help broaden their perspectives. The process itself is an energising one, encouraging staff and pupils to become educational entrepreneurs. Grants are awarded every six months by a scrutinising committee made up of individuals from the governing, teaching, pupil, administrative and alumni bodies of the school.

Entrance and Hardship Bursaries: The recent Access to Excellence campaign made great strides towards improving the school’s bursary provision, but with no permanent endowment it is vital that we keep providing for our bursary fund, to ensure that able children can benefit from a Perse education, no matter what their family circumstances.

We invite you to join us in supporting the school’s continuing success by making a donation today.  Gifts to the Annual Fund benefit from Gift Aid tax relief, so for every £1 donated, the school can claim an additional 28p at no extra cost to the donor.

Thank you for your support!
