Annual Fund
The Perse Annual Fund operates in an innovative way. Each year teaching staff from the three schools (Pelican, Prep and Upper) bid for funding. The Fund supports capital projects, within defined categories, and the School Bursary Fund. This is a very invigorating process which encourages the staff to become educational entrepreneurs.
Grants are then awarded twice yearly by a scrutinising committee made up of individuals from the governing, teaching, pupil, administrative and alumni bodies of the school. The capital projects are chosen according to assessed need.
In 2006/07 over £66,000 of grants for capital projects were awarded by the Annual Fund Committee and a further £27,500 was donated towards bursaries. For further details about these awards click here (pdf).
